What an amazing day in Winston-Salem, NC! The sun was out and everyone’s hearts were out for the union of Brittany and Theo. You could really feel the powerful connection between them and we were so happy to help preserve that forever. Thanks to the families and friends present and the staff of the beautiful Millennium Center facility for treating us so nicely and being game for everything we had in mind, including a few “takes” with the drone for the whole wedding party.

On coming home and starting the post-processing on the video and photos, the song “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” kept haunting us, though it hadn’t been played at the wedding. Looking around we found a rare gem, a recent cover of it by singer Lizz Wright that has a quiet sublimity. Paired with another version with a more upbeat tempo, we had the mood for the Highlights Film, and were feeling the magic all over again.
