A Multicultural Wedding at Abilena Plantation — New Bern, NC

NEW BERN, N.C. — The celebration started early on a sunny day at Abilena Plantation in New Bern, NC, with Stephanie and Remco writing the next chapter in their globe-trotting romance.

The End of the Long-Distance Chapter

We’d already worked with this amazing couple on their Love Story film, so it was especially meaningful to be there for the day that finally brought the “long-distance” part of their romance to an end. There’s something unforgettable about capturing a couple twice — once as they tell their story, and again as they begin their life together.

A Wedding of Many Cultures

As Danish, Indonesian, Dutch, Filipino, and American friends and family arrived at the Southern mansion, you could feel all those cultural influences coming together in one celebration. The day was full of beautiful touches — doves, sparklers, and heartfelt speeches that spoke every language of love. We felt truly privileged to be part of it.
