A Rainy-Day Wedding at Diamond L Wedding Venue in Deltona, FL

DELTONA, Fla. — On a warm May 4th, 2024, Javier & Maria said “I do” at the Diamond L Wedding Venue in Deltona, just a short drive from Daytona Beach. Surrounded by the closest friends and family who could be there, it was the kind of intimate Central Florida wedding day that reminds me why I love this work.

The plan was an outdoor ceremony — rustic benches, a working farm as the backdrop, plenty of Florida sunshine. The rain had other ideas. So we pivoted indoors to the barn patio, and honestly? It worked beautifully. I quickly set up all nine cameras to make sure not a single moment of what was about to happen slipped by.

The Ceremony

Things kicked off with the groom greeting his loved ones before taking his place at the front. The family procession followed, then the flower girls — including one sweet moment where a little one got a case of nerves and bolted for the back. It gave everyone a good laugh, and she was soon carried back down the aisle (as any princess should be).

You could see the emotion and anticipation on the groom’s face as the bride made her way down the aisle, walked by one of her sons. Their pastor officiated with heartfelt Bible verses and stories, and when the couple were finally pronounced husband and wife, the room erupted in applause and a cloud of bubbles as they walked back down the aisle for the first time as newlyweds.

The Celebration

From there, the party was on. Their first dance — floating “on clouds” with sparklers all around — was an absolute stunner to watch through the lens. Because of the high winds, we moved the candle-lighting ceremony indoors, and it was set to the song I just knew would carry their wedding trailer.

The night rolled on with dancing, the cake cutting, and the bouquet toss, before Javier & Maria closed it out with a last dance to “All of Me.” A few of the girls joined in, and it all melted into one big group hug — the perfect note to end on.
