Danny & CJ’s Wedding at Nova 535 — Downtown St. Petersburg, FL

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Danny & CJ are personal friends of mine, so capturing their wedding felt like an honor of a different kind. I’d already worked with Danny on plenty of projects — creating social media content for his nine Village Inn restaurants, among others — so filming his wedding was the cherry on top of a great working relationship and friendship.

The Ceremony

The grooms got ready inside Nova 535, a beautiful event venue in downtown St. Petersburg, FL, along with the entire wedding party. The ceremony then took place just outside the venue, where friends and family gathered to watch them say “I do.” There was even a surprise performance of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” that brought the whole crowd to tears — especially CJ.

The Reception

After the ceremony, the couple headed inside for the celebration, and it opened with a surprise dance-off between Danny & CJ, backed up by some of their friends as dancers. The energy never let up — the dancing carried on all night long, and the couple closed out the evening with a stunning sparkler exit.

It was honestly one of the best weddings I’ve been to. Everyone had an incredible time, and I was so glad Danny & CJ picked me as their wedding photographer and videographer — friends first, and lucky to be the one behind the camera for a day like this.
